How do I insulate dormer windows with a flat roof.

My house has got 6 dormer windows but the roof space above each one has not been insulated making all of the bedrooms and bathroom extremely cold. The flat-roof space is not easily accessible and certainly not in a straight line. From the closest accessible point in the main roof space there is only very limited access and possibly only a granular material would suffice. What is the best material to use for insulation? Might I need to strip the roof to achieve the objective?

Ideally they should be a warm roof design, presently they are a cold roof design,so you have to be carefull with adding insulation, as you need to leave a space for ventilation otherwise condensation/moisture will build up & cause a lot of problems.

    Are the dormer sides insulated?

And what condition is the roof covering on these dormers.

Can you replace the dormer ceilings using insulated plasterboard, fairly easy and inexpensive to do.

That is one solution & the cheapest.
