sanding the ceiling

Sanding the ceiling was very tricky. Especially the arched bits. Moreover, the sander was not reaching to the ceiling from the Titan shop vac hose, so had to sand it on its own, and dust was falling like the snow earlier this month. Still it wasnae quite knee deep, and my car was able to drive ok on the driveway. :D

Anyhow was thinking of getting a chordless rechargeable sander. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Get a longer hose for the Titan.
My Makita VC2012L comes with a 3.5m hose.

How tall is the wife ??

Get on her shoulders and you should be able to reach ceiling

If still not tall enough, pair of 5” stilettos (the wife not you) and you must be getting close ?

Unless your both Umpa Lumpas

Why sanding the ceiling? Get it skimmed...

It's been already skimmed but arched ceiling surface turned out rough.
    Maybe could do another skim?
It may touch the floor in the end :D

Not the best feeling. I'd rather spend a couple of hours re-skimming then filling, sanding, filling, sanding etc etc

Cover with course Woodchip paper no need to sand.

Wife hated woodchip paper, so the work began. Pulled off all the woodchip papers from every rooms in the house and halls. Now we have only one room left with woodchip paper on, and it will come off sometime this year :)
