Looking for a small router suitable for door trimming, hinges etc and recommendations?

Orginally bought the Bosch palm router, but I dropped a clanger:oops:, with the guide bushes, you have to use Bosch bushes or buy an adaptor, etc, right pain in the butt.

Was cheaper to buy Katsu, can't fault it, & witth plunge base base, it's perfect to use with hinge jig.
You have a turret depth stop on Katsu base, allows three depths setting.

You can set the cut depth without the plunge base.

Yes, it's rack & pinion I think, but I only now use plunge base now Chips.

Fair enough but I don't use a hinge jig or if I do I make my own.

Bought one Kiab, hopefully have it tomorrow. Bought a trend bit from SF ( thought they might throw in a free router given the price!) My tool collection is getting too big for the garage.

Your not the only one,had a light spring clean in workshop last month & I found tools & things I can't even remember buying.:(
Dread to think what I will find when I venture deeper into the back of workshop & start looking in crates, etc.

So got router, but the bit i bought when inserted is too long for cutting hinges at maximum adjustment. Can you get shorter bits? Mine total length including shank is approx 60mm
