Do we not exist? Plastering is a finishing trade. Come on Screwfix this is an insult.
Were not builders, or other trades shoe a little respect.

Is it because plasterers work is only really simply a skill gained by repetitive work, but not really an educated job?
Therefore nobody really needs a plasterers forum, as there isn't anything difficult to answer?

    Oooh, controversial!

I'd 'lay' odds that if the word was 'spread', there'd be a 'mix' of debate to 'stir' the imagination. So don't throw in the 'trowel' yet, we've only 'skimmed' the surface.
I'll get me coat...and me second coat(guess they call that multi-finish!)(And no, I ain't plastered)

  7. Man, I feel bad about our lonesome plasterer :(.

    Must show an interest. Must.

Hey, all55, what's your, um, favourite board finish? And, uh, do you have a fav trowel? You do?! :) How long have you.... naaaaahhhhhaaaaaaargghhh.

Depends on what you're skimming. Wouldn't use one for laying on.

My best trowel cost £3.50 bought 15 years ago ( wickes reduced ) , the only other tool I look after is my right arm , just about sums up plastering

Maybe, but at 55 a 50 m2 ceiling doesn't phase me , a good trowel is a good trowel regardless of the name stuck on it

Nothing to do with the brand of trowel, I agree. It was more to do with your comment, 'just about sums up plastering'. :)
