Need to drill into a floor tile to install a doorstop any tips as I don't want to end up cracking the tile?
Use a tile drill bit. Use masking tape on tile to mark point and helping stop drill bit wondering when starting to drill.
All the above and depending on the type of tile, you may need a more specialised drill bit. Porcelain, can be very hard, and an ordinary masonry bit will struggle, but try first.
DeWalt extreme masonry drill or similar quality. Go slow and not on hammer. Tickle the trigger on off a little and If bit gets hot spray water on to keep it cool. But oil drill bit when finished. Not duff job to drill and don't take long to get through. 3 mins tops
Yes, if porcelain you will most probably need a diamond drill and even they can struggle. Well they did with mine and had to drill 4 holes to screw down toilet pan. Bloody nightmare!
Yep, although its about using the right kit! http://www.tradetiler.com/rubi-dry-gres-m14-diamond-tile-drill-core-6mm.html I use this type now. Can get around 10-15 holes out of one if you're very careful. 5 if its a Friday!!
