    I have a 2008 Ford transit mk7 with 98,000 on the clock.
It has recently started to surge when it gets to 2500 rpm.
Took it to garage and computer said egr fault. Common issue.
Changed that but it's still the same. Anyone got any ideas?
Hasn't had fuel filtter changed recently

My idea would be take it back to garage. I use redex and sometime the better diesel to help clean through any build up of the crud

Stuck wastegate spindle on turbo stopping the actuator from opening properly.

Give it a good clean up and use copper grease on it to help it from sticking in future.

I have heard some fit a egr blanking plate to eliminate the problems.

Evening, I looked at the van tonight and removed the tube going from compressor to actuator. Van van pretty much perfect. Had the odd surge but nothing compared to when I put pipe back on. I assume this mean a deffinate waste gate or actuator fault

As I said above, strip it out giving it a good clean, it should be fine after.

Is it normal to have oil coming through the small pipe? Seems to be a fair amount coming out the pipe and around the hoses on the turbo

    Small pipe where.??

If on top or bottom of turbo, that could be an oil feed pipe for the turbo bearings.
