Got some DeWalt cordless 18v and 54v surprisingly good at demolishing stuff

Hired a Bosch 36v sds combi drill other month, bludy brilliant, even better than my Bosch 18v combi which isn't too shabby at demolishing.

Cordless tools have really improved in the last 5 years, especially with the advances in brushless motors & Li-Ion batteries.

The boiler guy I use, has one of those. Coring out for flues no problem and not that expensive considering what you get

This is what he uses ? There are quite a few varieties. His firm issued them as they do a lot of work in less affluent houses many of whom had pre-payment meters. It was becoming a problem the residents had little credit on the meters and they couldn't use their tools. All charging of batteries is done in their vans

Way it should be,but we are way behind the USA tradesmen, most have got built in generators on vans as standard for mains power.

The age of corded tools and appliances is drawing to a close with the likes of Dyson stopping manufacture of all corded cleaners

    Yea,-NO!
There are several years for corded tools remain, regardless of money paid for cordless.
Site work-related yes, but having intense application of planning, cutting etc, it's just not in the same league...
    My £0.02ct ;)

I use my Makita 18V with a 125 core for extract fans. I had to tell the lad to go easy when using it to break off render and chasing for back boxes because he kept shattering bricks with it!

Admittedly I did hire a proper 110v breaker to smash up some RC concrete foundations last year.
