Plan to put my brushes away at the end of this tax year and retire...............................had enough!
Quite well, I used to do a lot of work in the area. I'm not familiar with the 'areas' (what they're called as such) although I've been through Grangetown a few times and that one sticks in the noggin alright. Never heard of 'teesville' thought. As you say, all towns and cities have good areas and bad no matter where they are, but for some reason the infamous, Chris Rea song 'road to hell' often pop's into my head whilst driving down the '66' towards the place.
Chris rea family had a cafe in town i used to frequent it when i was younger, grangetown, south bank have suffered since the steel works closed down although there is work if you look for it
I genuinely had no idea the man grew up there. What a coincidence. I live in the leafy suburbs of 'darlo'. Used to use 'Newey & Aire' at the top of Portrack Lane back in the day, is it still there?
I'd forgotten how hard it is to find a property in the middle of nowhere on a call out when it's pitch black
except in Cheltenham Recently went there and they are doing street works so closed off a number of streets and changed others to temporary one way. So did they put up diversion signs or have people to help - No they put up signs which said "Don't follow your Sat Nav" really useful if all you have is an address !
