Is the standard DIY Dulux matt such as at B&Q 5l £24 just contract matt? I've been asked to paint new plaster with it and wondering if this will be fine. Watered down for 1st coat of course
The 2.5l can is £24, all the trade whites look to be vinyl matt, no good for mist coat I believe (you want standard matt, not vinyl matt). Wickes are doing an offer on paint shortly, worth a look there. e.g. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Dulux-Matt-Emulsion-Paint---Pure-Brilliant-White-5L/p/121110
the dulux 5l non trade paint is £20 off the shelf at present but I'm wondering if it is vinyl or not. I generally only use white contract matt for new plaster but a particular customer wants a cheap colour.
If no mention of Vinyl on container or title (Vinyl Matt) it would be vinyl free. The Wickes Dulux offer are free of vinyl hence the reference to 'a modern flat finish'.
