Today (in my new rental flat) all my lights just switch off (fused).

I searched high and low for a fusebox.

    Cant find one !

in the hallway (outside my flat) I found this:
    ** Photos below **

Is this some sort of vintage Fuse Box from yester-year ?

How on earth am I supposed to use it ?

Where and How do I fix my lights fuse ?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated :) :)

  2. No,that is the incoming electric supply, which needs upgrading.Yourself and three other flats are off this fuse.

The fuse box and meter will be in your flat somewhere.

eNo, it's a 'rats nest' a real mess. Deleted member 11267 is correct. I wonder where the meters are, surely the supplier did not do this?

is there a metal box on the wall of the flat about 2 by 3 if you still cant find it i would ask your neighbours wheres theres is. i would also get on to the management agency that runs the block and raise the concerns about the outdated wiring that is there i've never seen something so old and underrated could we have a picture or two of the flats wiring say one light fitting and a socket and switch because the electrics might need to be upgraded in the flat which is a separate issue. hope you got working smoke alarms in the flat and main building.

    ** UPDATE **

Thank you so much for all your replies so far.

Once you all pointed out that this is NOT the fuse box, I continued hunting for it.

I found it above my Neighbours door.
It was in a closed box.

My Neighbours Fuse Box is a regular box with transparent lid (which I am used to from previous homes).
I didn't notice my Fuse Box because its above her door and I assumed everything above her door was her's.

Below are some photos of the boxes above her door. and some another photo of the lights and switches in my flat.

To me, the lights and switches seem fine. (fire alarms in kitchen and hallway).

I have LABELLED the boxes above my neighbours door because I was hoping someone might let me know what these boxes are ;)

A - I dont know. (master fuse reset for Neighbour) ??
    B - Neighbours Fuse Box
    C - Neighbours Electricity Meter
D - Electricity Meter for Corridor, etc (Billed to landlord)
    E - My Electric Meter (I am flat 53c).
    F - My Fuse Box
    G - Neighbours Meter Junction Box ??
    H - My Junction Box ??
    I - NO IDEA ???
    J - My Master Reset Switch ??
    K - NO IDEA ???

There is also a LOCKED BOX at the base of my neighbours door.
Perhaps it is the Landlords Fuse Box for external lights and electric ?

There are 4 flats in my building, but my door has access to 2 flats.
So these boxes will relate to just 2 flats.

Let’s see a picture of the switches (MCBs) inside your fusebox.

I really want to say a big 'Thank You' for your pin-point advice. Really, I appreciate it ;)
    - It was very kind of you.

PS: Your eyes are excellent if you can tell that my Heat Alarm is clogged with fat.
I've been looking at the photo I uploaded here and I cant even notice it.

What is it about the Heat Alarm photo that shows signs of Grease or Fat ? (discoloration of the plastic ? or something else) ?

I'm going by the discolouration of the alarm it looks like a good fat build up but i could always be wrong. I'm presuming the room with the built in lights is the kitchen.
