We have recently bought a new house anf want to remove a student wall under the stairs but are unsure if any of it is load bearing/structural or if something needs to be in its place to support the stairs? I've attached a pictures to highlight Screenshot_20181223-134715.png Screenshot_20181223-145122.png Screenshot_20181223-145122.png the area in question

Can you post a picture or two of the landing area? I'm 99% sure that that won't be load bearing, there's niches built into it for starters, but you may need additional support if you have a quarter landing above.

This is a bit of concern, hopefully the horizontal piece is trim

I don't think it's load bearing and would not have any qualms about taking it all out myself.

You may not, but then you probably would have the ability to sort it out if something were to go awry, the OP doesn't otherwise she wouldn't be on here refusing my request for further pictures :)

What are you going to do with the resulting hole?

    My thoughts exactly Chippie.
    What's the point.
    Looks perfectly acceptable as is.

None of it is my style, or rather my wife's style, but it looks like a show room.
