Ive had a water based UFH system installed and tiled over. I was advised to wait 28 days before switching on and then to increase the temperature 5°C a day until max temperature is reached (45°C I think). To ensure it’s only 5°C when I switch it on, do I need to set it to 5°C at the mixing valve on the manifold or can this be done via the thermostat? I’ve no idea! Thanks
Nice to see the pipes labelled as usual. Start at room temp but don't go as high a 45̊C, 40 is plenty Looks like you need a pipe thermometer
If you ever run the underfloor water at 45 degrees you're likely to damage something ... usually cracked tiles around the edges where the warm material meets the unheated surfaces. Sometimes it's only the grout that cracks and hopefully those cracks will be under a skirting board. Unless your house is really lacking insulation you should never need the water to be warmer than 35 degrees. (Mine have never been above 30 but my house is really well insulated.)
