Installing Fence Post next to path

    I'd like to install 2 fence posts butted up next to a path in my garden as shown in the picture. From what I've seen mostly when you install fence posts the post sits centrally in a hole with the post mix equally surrounding it. Is it ok to offset the post in the hole to say only 20mm away from the path? You're obviously only going to get a small amount of post mix between the post and the path and the remainder of the mix on the other 3 edges of the post? Fence Post.jpg Fence Post 2.jpg

    Yes it will be fine. Undercut the hole the path side as much as you can

    Thanks, When you say undercut, do you mean dig out underneath the path?

    Yes.

    Works better with concrete than postcrete.
