What do you call these connectors and can they be applied to a standard hose? If not where can I get a hose with these already on?........... It's from an Aqualaisa shower so if no luck I could always contact them.
https://www.plumbinbits.co.uk/aqual...MIoIuUj8ON5QIVyrHtCh3qrAJ1EAQYASABEgIrHPD_BwE Both ends are 1/2" BSP thread which is common to shower hoses.
Aqualisa shower valves often use full bore hoses. But you could use any other brand that is full bore if the nuts suit. Some hoses use small nut on one end. The plastic part you have should be detachable from old hose and reusable
Almost baught a simular one today but I need the one in the image to be compatable with the valve connection.
Thanks all. The Aqualaise reducer kit shown in your link appears to be identical to the one in the image I provided. Before I go and buy it, would anyone know if I can use it with the shower hose in the link below? I believe the sizes are quie standard, so...? https://www.screwfix.com/p/stretch-stainless-steel-shower-hose-1-5m-2m/7008t
Just make sure the bore of the hose is a good size. Some aftermarket ones are only 1/8" and do a great job of restricting the flow rate. In fact I had one customer who burnt out his power shower pump by fitting a new hose with a tiny bore.
Thanks for that. The bore for the shower hose is 10mm as per the one I have, so I presume the thread will be 1/2 inch (standard) as mentioned above. As I say I nearly baught the shower hose in the link above and I remember seeing a cone shaped chrome connection on one end and I think a bolt type connection on the other, I'm hoping it will all still be compatable.
