    Hi,

For the last few years Ive been getting rust on the outside metal corner beading of my bedroom window and can't seem to get rid.

Ive rubbed it back to the bare metal, primed it, and also tried Zinnser Bin and recoated it with Sandtex exterior, however the rust still comes through every 1 to 2 years.

Any ideas on how to sort this for good (I'm getting too old to climb ladders these days!)

    Cheers

Pull out bead and replace with a plastic one.

Sorry Wayners, doing that would create more work with re-rendering!

Any reason why the rust keeps returning?

The rust is under and spreads. You can't treat rust as impossible to get to so only way to cure is to replace.

If you can manage to spend the time and go to the trouble, I'd try Bilt Hamber's Deox-C gel and then their Hydrate 80, followed by a decent undercoat
    and top coat:

You'll probably need to cover the Deox-C with cling-film and keep agitating it over several days to let it really work, so it might be quite challenging
to use in your situation. It's remarkable stuff though.

I'd suspect your current paint is porous, hence the rust returns.

Coz the angle beads are rusty......simple enough to cut out and replace.

Excellent stuff! Used plenty on the car projects over the years!
