Bloody hell Willy.. you don't half sound like a fossil lol.

Proper work.. all for the added bonus of 25p for 100 cars.

    Good effort pal :)

    I am a fossil.

I've been thinking about putting my rates up for a while, but don't want to lose my customers...

All this just because some poor chap wanted to know how to wash his car....

I remember our local automatic car wash. I drove my old Cortina through it once. The car was somewhat lighter once I got out of there.

It wasn't half nerve racking walking back in to collect the wing mirrors!

If you are lucky to have had your vehicles professionally prepped and ceramic coated, they will wash very easily and even the rain will keep them fairly clean.
It won’t be cheap, but long term having the car paint, wheels and trim treated will result in little or no other treatment, or polishing and rarely need much washing with some ceramic treatments lasting 5 or 7 years.

Every time you touch paintwork with your hand or proper mitt or use a sponge, (which you should never use) you risk putting fine scratches on the paint. So do everything you can before using a mitt, - gentle power wash, then snow foam and wait 15 min, then power wash again, then use the large 2 buckets routine using a mitt and proper car shampoo. Use the mitt in straight lines and only on a small area before rinsing it in the second bucket.

A tip for those here that are extremely fussy and want to avoid the water staining left later, to give a newly polished look, is to use a water filter for that purpose attached to the hose. Car will dry out perfect and gleaming.

I looked at getting one of the big filter systems for my rinsing, but as you have to keep replacing the media, I decided it was cheaper to keep the wax topped up (Bilt Hamber's 'Double Speed') so it always beads well, and dry it with my MetroVac Master Blaster instead.

That's a bit of kit alright. Brilliant.
