Hi all I need to reroute 10mm barrier pipe and remove the stop end push fut.

need to remove live as no drain offs etc. I’m guessing there will be a lot of pressure.

I will have a bucket handy but is there any tips as to ease the pressure etc. I’m lucky as I have a plastic tail close to back door but just want to check.

    Ok
Is the Radiator Physically Lower in respective to the boiler or higher ?.
The filling loop you could use to do the reverse function, and Empty the system down to the boiler level...

You should reduce the pressure in the system ,before trying to remove the stop end. Whatever pressure is showing on your boilers gauge ,is what you have in the system.
Drain some water out to release the pressure.

Great thanks both so have a bleed off valve upstairs in rad so just let some pressure out of that.

pipes are dropping down! Rad not fitted yet

Gravity will be against you
As terry says you could do with releasing some pressure from somewhere!

A bucket under the boiler.....get ready
or Lift the PRV,,, release some water outside till pressure drops to 0

Under the boiler? There is no bleed of rads so I’m thinking of releasing pressure from bleed valve

The gravity will let the water come on down..

    You can reduce this by
    1 Reduce the pressure
2 close off all valves on radiators.. Up n Down
3 switch OFF boiler, and close flow & return valves under boiler
4 get ya bucket ready to remove stop end..
and once the flow has moderated a bit and is glugging.........get it into the rad.

Why these plastic pipe fitters don't install drain off points i never know...

I know annoyed I’m having to do this! Especially as they asked to re route.

I’m not putting it into rad I just have to plasterboard and skim before rad goes on. Stop ends will go back on

    Ah OK
Closing off all the valves on as much as you can will cause a vacuum hopefully
So the only way water can come out, is if it's replaced by Air... hence glugging noise...
Air will try and get sucked into the pipe you remove the Stop End on....This is going to be the point you start to relocate the Pipe..
Work quickly, and wisely don't panic;)
    Have some bath towels ready

    And Go for it....
Have a Beer ready on completion

Punch the pratt of a heating engineer....(LEGO PIPE FITTER)

And don't let them use the Loo
tell em to Go to McD for a free McS***t
They should really just chuck the stuff straight down the bog, cut the middle man out.

    OK rant over
