    Hi,
Got myself a 3 gang 2 way switch (however using as a 1 way), I thought it would be a simple job but ended up unscrewing the current light switch and I’m totally lost. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, on you old switch you have a red wire that connects to a COM terminal. This is the live feed in. Connect this to the COM1 terminal and than use the short brown wires to connect this to COM 2 and 3.

Now you are left with three black wires. These go up the three L1 terminals on the new switch. Sorted

Sorry I think I’m being stupid here. Have I got this right.

    Red (currently COM) to (COM1)
    Brown wires connect to COM1/2/3

now I’m left with red (currently L2), 2 black (currently L2 & L2). You’ve mentioned these should be inserted to L1 terminals however I only have 2 L1 terminals on the new switch?

    You have L1 1 and L2 1 and L3 1.
So the two blacks and the other red go ,one to each of the above.
