Reinforced osb subfloor. Primed osb with manufacturer suggested primer. attached metal lath, stapled every 3 inches. Mixed (too much water I’m thinking) slc and poured. everything went well, minus not having area as well dammed up as I thought. 9 days have gone by, and I’m now seeing a hairline crack. I can’t feel it when running finger, but it’s there. This is a powder room, should not see much water action. planning to tile this weekend, do I need to stop and pull the slc?
There’s a number of reasons why this may have cracked, but the upshot is that this is a hairline crack & shouldnt cause any problem. I assume you’ll be using a flexible tile adhesive when you tile?
Yes any type of floating floor & can have a small amount of movement needs to have flexible adhesive. I’ve always found Mapei products pretty good.
