Hi everyone. New to this community so any help would be great. I'm looking to ceramic tile the walls of a friend's bathroom, however, this is in a park home where the internal walls appear to be plywood sheets over batten wall. I've only got experience of tiling on a firm plasterboard surface. In this instance would I be able to place 12mm plasterboard directly over/on the plywood, screwing directly into the battens in the wall? My aim is that this would give enough strength on a suitable substrate material. Many thanks.

Yes, but you should check the depth of the wall first and check you're not screwing through any pipes or cables. Measuring the door lining width is a good way of gauging the wall thickness.
