I am in the process of reinstating a window that was blocked up in a new downstair toilet. The house was built in the 1930's and notice, having removed serveral block that the wall seems to be a standatd 4in cavity. Could I install cavity wall batts in the available area, or is it a bad idea to have only part of the wall insulated?
no wall ties ? i can't advise sorry, could be a can of worms if you fit insulation bridge the cavity, ? damp etc...?
