Anyone got any tips on removing rats?!

I don't want to kill them or hurt them in any way, but the mother in law isn't too keen on them being in her garden!

Ideally I'd like some sort of cage which they'll get stuck in, and which they'll sit in happily until I take them round the corner to the woodland!

Any particular products that I should look at?

  2. Search humane rat traps on google. Loads of options.

Move them away, they will return. They will breed and soon just a few will become an infestation.

The only real way is culling and that can easily be done in a rapid way.

I prefer to inject lead at high speed - works well.

  7. They say take it at least two miles from your home and release

And give someone else the problem - really friendly. How would you like it if someone relocated twenty rats to just outside your garden gate.?

Pests and vermin should be controlled by culling not relocation.

  11. Take it to a woods or a secluded area, not difficult is it. Not everyone wants to go round mindlessly killing animals

I prefer an Air Arms S410k - moderated with 10 shot magazine. Managed three in a group, in under thirty seconds one day before the ricochet on third hit metal and scared the remainder.

Just like the idiots who released half a dozen captured foxes close to an acquaintances field where there were sheep and young lambs. Do you realise the nasty diseases that rats carry?

  15. Let’s just kill everything then. Job done

We do kill most animals and then we eat their cooked carcases .

    Nothing new there.

    Suck it up Buttercup ...

I work in a primary school, your reply reminded me of their bantering. I borrowed one of their responses to reply to you, it seems appropriate.
