Has anyone ever seen the energy saving bulbholders which are always in new builds? The ones with the 3 offset pins which can only take the EE bulbs which nobody appears to sell.
Waste of bloomin installing them if nobody sells the bulbs!
> You could buy low wattage downlights,
just as much light only 11 watts
Have a look at page 11 of this link

Dimmer switches work by reducing the voltage to the lights to dim them. LV fans normally need no less than 220volts to be able to function.
Dunno if an SELV fan might work though?
If you insist on having a dimmer switch you will have to wire the fan independant of the light with either another light switch or pullcord. If the fan has a timer then a neon pullcord would be suffice.
It really can vary on the ground itself. Clay, sand, granite.
Last 2 I done I got around 11 for one on the 1st attempt. Another I spent half the day just getting it to about 45.
It can vary depending on what make you get.
But all S types should trip out no less than 300ms to allow discrimination between the 30ma RCD and no more than 500ms to keep within 7671.
Hagar is normally about 350ms and the last MK one I installed tripped out at 497ms :)
Wire all stats in 3core & E unless it is not feasible
.
No matter what type . Use hardwiring if possible (not
bell wire) you then have all options open .
Radio ,batts etc ,last resort in IMHO.
Agreed with ya there LD. But if the boiler is already installed and you know what is required...
You have to install room stats to comply with part L. Even if the installation has TRV's installed.
Generally it's programmable roomstats which are normally installed for combis. Particulary if the combi is installed in the loft or similair and external controls are needed...
