Place rose on door, mark the 3 hole positions with pencil, place rose aside. Drill holes in door. Screw the 3 suitable screws into the door, WITHOUT the rose. Now remove the screws ! Now using the rose and screws, fix to door. Should be easier in screw-in as the holes have been pre-prepared ...

Rather than soldering in the replacement microswitch, perhaps a couple of Wagos would do the job, quick and easy.

Had similar once, it was the wind blowing over the top of the rainwater downpipe where it met the gutter, took ages to discover. Have you checked where the noise is originating from, inside or outside your home? I wouldn't replace pipes, could be an expensive waste of time. Good luck.

Are the wall plugs, yellow ? - short and thin ? Needs some more substantial ones, let into the brickwork.

Has one of your neighbours got a pump to increase their water pressure ? Or, after 8.38am get each neighbour in turn to switch off their entire power supply at their fusebox/consumer unit - does the noise cease, if so the problem is isolated.

Connect the washing machine back to the cold water supply, if it now works if proves the w/m is cold water fill only.

Have you tried to drill a pilot hole first eg 4mm before using the large drill bit. Why do you need a 12mm hole, that's large, what fixing will you be using ?
