I need to do some work above my pitched apex conservatory roof, upvc and usual polycarbonate glazing sheets, it also has an pitched roof extension next to it making scaffolding extremly difficult and also expensive, I am now thinking of removing the roof panels to do the work, thing is how do I get the glazing bars off?

There are very slight differences between roofs, K2 and ultraframe are 2 of the better known, there are others but they all work in a similar way, get up to gutter height, slide up the glazing bar end cap or remove the screw and remove the end cap, here you'll see how it locks into the ali roof, either pinch the 2 teeth together OR slide a long screwdriver up in the cap and just force upwards, once its started by a few inches it'll fly off
