    Hi,
Currently planning a DIY refit of utility room. The run of units on one side will end with a decor panel next to a freestanding washing machine. I can fix the decor panel along 3 edges (worktop cantilevered over the washing machine, back wall and floor (using angle brackets). The decor end panel is 18mm thick MDF core.
Will the decor end panel fixed as described be stiff enough esp along the outer vertical edge facing into the room, or would you advise stiffening it up (eg by reinforcing with another panel on the inside next to the washing machine)? Not planning to stand on the cantilevered worktop!
Any advice and experiences gratefully received!

The end panel will be fine and is more than capable of taking as much weight as you are ever going to subject it to.

Is the decor panel full height then ? Ie, floor to worktop

Don’t they usually sit between top of plinth and worktop so they line up with base unit doors

Or is it just an end panel

    Hi Dave,
It's an end panel running from floor to the underneath of the worktop nominal 900mm high. No plinth. The plinth will stop at the sink unit next to the washing machine.
    Thanks
