Removal of old back boiler from fireplace

    Recently bought a house which we are renovating, took off the plasterboard covering the fireplace to find what we think is an old back boiler which looks to be disconnected and just never removed when boarded up. Advice on removing? Worried the chimney could collapse? Our goal is to put in a log burner eventually
