Retaining Wall

    We've had to have a concrete sloped bank taken away leaving a steep soil bank. Need to do something about it quick as we're in the middle of having the drive done! It's not something we'd budgeted for in the project so cheaper is better. It's 0.8m at its highest and down to 0.4 by the end owing to the ground levels and it's 19m long. Options I see are as follows:

    Sleepers (Would look good but how long do they last?)
    Brick (Expensive and difficult to match the front wall)
    Gabions (Like the look but not sure how much this would work out to be?)
    Block (Cheap and does the job but ugly. Could maybe clad in wood to give the effect of sleepers?)

    Any other options? What would you go for?

    clock clad with marley cedral cladding - job done once and forget ita s it will never rot. of on a budget leave the cladding to later
