is this a decent cutter for everyday use and is it big enough and strong enough for larger format tiles eg fine porcelain

Would recommend the Rubi TS40-plus for porcelain tiles. Will handle tiles size 40x40

I've not tried the plus machines as yet but my TX makes light work of Porcelain tiles, the standard TS simply wouldn't cope.

I would go for the next size up so that you can do diagonals on 300-330mm tiles.

Would agree with Jason about the diagonal cuts, luckily I have not had do any yet on large tiles.

Must admit my TS60 copes fine with cheapo porc on straight cuts, but struggles like hell with anything decent and a thickness of 8mm +. It also struggles with diagonal cuts as the breaker cant do its job properly. Ordering a TX-700 N very soon looks the bis, plenty big, angle adjustment and has a movable breaker for the akward breaks.

Used it in anger all week and must admit was worth every penny. 12mm tiles one score and snap, perfectly straight. uch better than the screwfix one i'd been using for a few months.
