hi i"m after getting some new worktops so wondering how much to do a butt n scribe joint cut sink out and tap hole, ball park figure plus know anygood fitters worktops cost me nearly a grand so no JOHN WAYNES!
if theyre oak, have they got a square edge or profiled? also where you wearing a hi-viz vest when you bought them?
If they're solid oak, then personally I'd butt-joint them rather than do a butt & scribe/mason's mitre. I think it looks better. will be very straightforward, assuming they're square edged. If there's a small pencil round, you could probably afford to lose 2/3mm off the front edge, particularly on the 1400 wide piece, so cut it square & then join.
not sure about the hi viz joke?????????? but if you have 2 worktops together making a 90 degree angle what cut is best also suare edged or profile i"m not doing it?
