    Hello,

I am looking for the best way to cut a memamine sheet, which has a MDF core and prefinished melamine on both sides.
I am wanting to lip the cut edge with an iron on edge.

Can you help with what the best way of cutting the sheet with out chipping the melamine on either side.

    Thanks in advance.

Cut it slightly oversize and finish it to the exact size with a Router and a straight edge. You will then get a perfect machine finish with no chipping on either edge.

    Cheers big all

I have circular saw, router, jigsaw etc.
I was looking at purchasing a plunge saw, would this cut the sheeting with little chipping?
If so which is the prefered saw on the market?

    Many thanks

Snezza has given you the correct answer, follow his advice. A skill saw will NEVER acheive as good a finish as a router :)
