I have a skil circular saw model 5466 and have recently purchased a proline router/saw table. The table has an electrical safety switch which would override the saw switch but I find that I am unable to lock the switch on the skilsaw in an on position. Does anyone know either a contact number or website for Skilsaw or alternatively of a safe device for locking the saw switch on and controlling the saw with the bench switch.

My now ancient BlacknDecker saw table had a plastic widget like an overgrown clothes peg on a piece of string. This is pushed onto the saw handle, holding the switch in, and has a lenghth of string attached so you can yank the widget off.

Should be easy to knock up a similar arrangement with a bit of timber.

get your self abit of wood 2 inches wider than the depressed trigger cut a u shape to hold onto the trigger
with a 5 inch slot to give you a bit of spring
connect rope slightly longer than needed when tied in
reach so you can pull the clip to stop as well as a knee
    button[nvr]
