    Hi,

    Just a quickie...

What should I use to connect 20w ELV downlights.

At the moment they just have 2 x 0.75mm2 cables coming out. The transformer has the same.

Do I need to use junction boxes or is there some clever system out there that I can use?

    Thanks

  2. You using one transformer per light, in which case you should use a porcelain connecter block between the transformer cables and the bulb cables.

Btw it’s a good idea if possible to secure the transformer to a joist to prevent it being pulled towards the bulb when its changed, and then quietly melting on top when the bulb is replaced.

Also, its not a good idea to put plant pots on top of them, don’t do that!
