Hi all, just signed up. I would appreciate some advice from a duct fitter or plumber please.
I would like to know when installing a mvhr unit, on which pipes are you supposed to wrap the insulation on? I don't mean the insulated flexi, I mean the actual plastic pipe for instance. I know there are left and right sided units, does that indicate which pipe to wrap the insulation on?
I m sure the answer is something obvious but I'm not afraid to ask anyway.
    Thanks.

Hi you need to insulate the run from the outdoor wall/roof penetration to the MVHR unit only. This avoids condensation occurring on days when there is a temperature difference between indoor & outdoor. Also note if the duct runs anywhere that is not heated e.g wall cavity then wrap it there too. Hope it helps
