First to admit I am not the best painter in the world - but: Not getting an acceptable finish - brush strokes. I m using this on the wood in the kitchen, utility room and cloakroom; doors and window frames. Using it because of its ability to be scrubbed if necessary. Just done the exterior porch using Wilko's exterior satin and got a far superior finish on a hot day. I am using Harris synthetic brushes and unthinned Diamond eggshell. It's not too hot today, I am in the North East. I am thinking the following: I should be thinning it down a bit. Wrong brushes. Putting it on too thick to begin with. Putting it on too thin to begin with. I am a useless painter. Combination of the above Any pointers from users of this stuff would be welcome.
I am beginning to think that as well. I'm going to try thinning it today, perhaps 10%, and having another crack at it and see what happens.
Just to finish this (in case anyone is interested), thinned it by about 10%, could have been a little more, and it is now usable and not like brush on filler!
