    Hi all,

Looking at redoing the garden ready for summer, I've got a few short fence posts that need taking out as I want to grass the entire garden. Any ideas what the best method of removing them would be?

    Thanks

A corded SDS drill with a mini breaker/pecker function is my chosen method, coupled with a lump hammer and large steel chisel.

    1. Remove panels.
    2. Dig down one side of concrete block around post.
    3. Use post to loosen and lever block into void.
    4. Lift post and block out complete. Another post over a fulcrum and some rope should help if they're too heavy.
    5. Break concrete away from post once out of the ground - much easier.

I must admit I had assumed they were concreted.

if they are just pushed in just push back and forward side to side this will move the earth enough too just pull out by hand if not too deep. done this with one that had been in the ground years easily came out.

Paint them with copper paint and have an open garden.

They will be gone in seconds.

You'd get a decent price at Whites as well.

Dig around and cut v in with disc cutter. Pick axe or chisel hit the point of the v and concrete will split in ground. Please don't tell the general public its easy to split concrete in the ground
