I have attached pictures of my soil pipe, just wanted to know if it’s a cast iron or asbestos cement soil pipe. It’s an internal soil pipe in a block of flats if that helps. There is currently one toilet attached to this soil pipe, the branch off the soil pipe can be seen in the pictures, I would like to install a second toilet in the bathroom which is adjacent to the toilet room, how would I go about doing this, i.e. is it possible to change the angle the branch protrudes from the soil pipe at?
You should be able to hear the difference when tapping them with something like a screwdriver or small hammer. If the sound is a dull thud, then it's likely to be cement based. If it's more of a metallic sound then it's likely to be cast iron.
