Will a 1:100 slope be noticeable/problematic for a shed

    Hello,

I am currently building a large deck frame, which will be decked, with a shed placed on one end.

I have sloped the frame 1:100 to ensure water does not pool on the boards.

My question is will it be a problem or noticeable if my shed is placed on this slope? Will the slope put strain on the shed as it will be slightly squint? Will shelves in the shed have a noticeable slope? Should I add more framing and level the area that the shed will be placed on so it’s 100% flat?

The slope is 2.5cm over 2.5m

    Thanks in advance

An inch over 2.5m should be fine I'd say, depending which way the doors are placed, they might swing open or closed. You might be able to use packers under the base when its laid to make it level but a 1% slope is almost level.

Yes, it will be a problem. Shelves as you mention will allow things to roll or move.

Just put a suitable batten or packers under one end, and a couple more in between.

  4. Just get some firrings cut and fix them to the sheds bearers/floor joists.
