Is it possible to cut paving slab gap on laid patio

I've recently moved into a property that has cheap utility paving out the back. I looks a bit naff as it's been laid without any gaps, and the slabs still have unfinished rough concrete edges.

Would it possible to cut along each join with an angle grinder to 1) neaten up the slab edges and 2) create a nicer looking 7-10mm gap before pointing.

I've attached a photo of the paving in question.

Not without looking like a dogs dinner. Live with it or if you really are looking for something to do, take them up and relay.

    Yes that's what I feared.
I assume keeping the angle grinder steady enough to get a tidy line would be close to impossible

It could also snatch if it’s pinched between the slabs which can be quite dangerous

Fair point. Hadn't thought of the safety...

IMHO that type of slab looks worse pointed ;)

Ideally I would get it replaced, it's just financially not an option at the moment..

As Jord suggested #2 may be best.

Oh really!? That's useful to know!! Maybe I'll live with it for now then.

Completely agree. It's a while since I laid any of those but we always used to butt joint them.
