What pipe fitting is this?

I came across a fitting yesterday and would like to know what its called if anyone can help!

It look like an angled 1/2 inch tap connector but instead of having a raised flange (that normally fits into the tap inlet) it had a flat flange and a rubber washer.

It was being used to connect a 15mm pipe to a gas hob.

    What is it called?

    Thanks!!

Google ‘male iron’ and see if it looks like your fitting. It should have been capped if it’s not connected to the hob any more.

It was the same as this except instead of being a plain 15mm tail it has a compression fitting on it. I didn’t take a picture unfortunately but I used it to connect the new hob.

I am an RGI by the way I’ve just never seen this particular fitting before.

It does but it doesn’t have the raised flange that a tap has.

Looks like a pre-formed pipe that comes with some combi boilers.

  7. Not all do, I know the press fit ones I’ve used in the past just have a flat face
