Hi, I’m changing the tap on my kitchen sink and struggling to work out how to remove the old tap pipes from these connectors? Can someone please advise? Thank you.

  2. They look like tectite classic. You can buy tectite disconnecting tools but I’d wager that they will be pretty awkward to get apart. Personally though I would cut below the fittings and repipe from there.

Thanks, managed to find a YouTube video showing how to do it - for others reference the video titles was ‘6 ways to remove shark bite fittings’.

In essence you use a wrench that fits around the pipe and press down on the release collar.
