Any recommendation on a transformer that will comfortably run 2 Friedland standard underdome 8V bells in parallel? Standard Friedland transformer is 1A, anyone know if that is sufficient for 2 bells or do I need something bigger.
Two push buttons and one bell? Could have as many switches as you want on one bell. That aside one transform should power both I guess. Only problem would be if both were used at same time pulling double the power vs just one .
2 bells on one push, customer wants one in hall, one in kitchen - they want wired trad bells. There is a 2A transformer made so might just use that - unfortunately they don't state the current drawn by the bell - might have to buy one and do some experimenation
The old ding **** bell draws around 2 amp, so if some one is daft enough to hold finger on the bell push even with one bell you can still burn out a 1 amp transformer. But the door bells which basic has a speaker in, are down to milliamp draw. So need to measure.
I have done this, needed a 2A tr4nny (think I got it from RS). A 1A couldn't hack the load of two bells.
It’s the new improved SFX forum filter. You can’t type **** or ******. You can type døng and trànny though. but the magic filter lets that idiot Troll in every other night…
Must be someone at the back door, the front door goes ding **** when the Avon lady calls. Edit- doesn’t work for me!
Ah. Maybe you get filtered if you have paid to be “select” but not if you have a free “Well-known member” ?
