Does anyone use a Worcester Greenstar boiler? I just wonder if you have Eco mode on or tuned off? I believe it’s to do with pre heating the water.
This function will switch off your preheat settings, which means it may take slightly longer for hot water to come through the tap. If it is not selected, the preheat is on and there will be a “quicker response to a hot water demand”, say Worcester. Doesn't this suggest it's more economical to use the function? Turn it on and save the energy used to keep the boiler ticking over.
thanks mate, I sort of understand now. I guess it’s a case of which is cheaper, water that runs cold for 15 seconds or gas that heats for 1 minute
