Ive been asked to lay a new floor in a shop (appx 430 sq ft ) . Layed plenty in domestic homes but not commercial . Client seems intent on solid hardwood as his other shop has had a linoleum 1.5-2mm thick layed ,not very impressive. The floor will have to be floating, anyway just asking if anybody can give any advice on a better wood product that can handle very heavy people traffic ... well any advice , would be much appreciated.
audievo knows a lot about flooring, i havent done any commercial floors. one thing i do know with shop fitting, get your quote and times correct, overrun at your financial peril

i have used howdens laminate flooring for a nursery 280 sqm done the job two years ago and the floor is fine. heavy use every day. but be careful commercial clients like to be slow payers - i prefer domestic work
