Looking to core drill 70-100mm holes in some reinforced concrete. Are there any drill bits out there that will cope with the job?

    Cheers..

  2. the only thing that can handle reinforced concrete is a diamond bit....but you need a quality one as not all are up to the job....you will also need a decent drill too

A thermic lance works well, but you might burn the carpet !!!!!!

If you have got several to do its probably better to hire in a decent Hilti drilling rig or get a specialst concrete drilling/sawing company in. HSS hire them

    Thanks for your advice chaps.

  7. My normal advice is 2ounces of Semtex per hole.

Just remember to wear your Safety Goggles

the core drill will go thru the concrete ok but when the cutting tip hits the rebar watch out for the K.O.blow you will get when the drill body takes up the torque when the bit comes to a halt specially if you got the drill at head height and you are up a scaffold ...be warned
