I need to move a rad (10mm copper) accross the room and would like to use 10mm plastic and it's a pig of a run.
I have not used plastic before -
What is the best fitting to go from 10mm copper to plastic. Then when I'm on plastic - do I need an insert at each joint end ?
I am fine with copper - but have never 'converted' to plastic
    Any advice would be great

    Cheers

I did this on 10mm. It works fine. Many on here have their reservations but only time will tell if they were right.

You can use any of the fittings as they will fit to both plastic cand copper. You will need inserts on the plastic side, but not th copper.

There's no need to worry. It's quite simple.
I just used the Screwfix JG SpeedFit range.

to change from 10mm copper to plastic it best to use a compression fitting, the reason is that 10mm copper pipe can sometimes get sqashed slightly as its very soft, this makes it difficult fot the rubber O ring in the plastic fitting to seal properly, but the olive in a compression fitting its not a problem,
