Any existing (unknown!) or new cable buried less than 50mm (if poss)has to be protected by RCD
Taking into account if you chase both sides of the wall if possible! you can contravine building regs to structure.

You cant convert an existing split board (take out ex dp switch & replace with rcd, as you cant have 1 feeding another or reconfiqure wiring so you loop from 1 rcd to another so they are independant, still need 1 form of isolation, put dp switch in seperate enclosure you say! nope cant do that as you have now altered board & manufacturers warantee

Basically
TT100ma RCD feeding RCBOs & 30ma RCD feeding MCbs or all Rcbos
Tns, Tcns
All rcbos
Touch a circuit fit an Rcbo

Only option to rcds is to put cables in metal conduit (metal/pvc capping not good enough)

Not insurerd for what Ant !? You can buy mcb s main switches ,rcd s etc by themselves If we were to replace say an MK mainswitch with a Wylex mainswitch would I become uninsured ?

also 1 form of isolation ? do you mean one point of isolation ? because that requirement does not exist!
