I'am not a plumber and i need a bit of help with a leak on my toilet on the side entry. do i have to replace the fittings or can i just use ptfe tape to stop the dripping?
Turn off the water. Undo connections. re-make them with new washers etc. ptfe tape is NOT a magic cure-all. get a pro in....gotta be a wind up

Duck tape was the only thing that done the job - piece at last , old "electric lips" is beside herself now she cant exercise her bleedin jaws
I had the same thing. Then I discovered fibre washers! There is supposed to be one of those between the copper fitting on the supply side and the plastic inlet on the toilet side. The cost almost nothing. Whoever did my toilet last used PTFE tape and no washers. David
Tried ptfe round my wifes gob , ended up using 5 rolls How unfortunate that we have to resort to sexist comments!
