where can you buy small gears with a grub screw to hold to shaft ?

    Looking for two small nylon gears(cogs)that have a 6mm shaft and that use a grub screw to hold it to shaft. need one 15mm diameter and one 30 mmm diameter approx ? thanks

    Hi thanks, but how would i attach the cog to the end of the threaded bar, I dont think they have grub screws ?

    If theres not masses of torque which i doubt, you could put a nut either side tightened against the gear.

    Or drill and tap the gear, then lock a nut against that.

    You can get all sorts of gears, shafts and bearings at RS components. They are a bit funny about dealing direct with the public, but most trade firms have an account with them.

    Go online and check out what you need on their website.

    If you have a branch near you, go in and have a look in book 3 (mechanical).

    Well done. Not sure how you managed that, as you were advised on Saturday and delivered on Sunday? !!

    Hi I mean I ordered some gears from RS to be delivered , got them on Monday £4.99 postage on £5.35 worth of gear !
