Hi all, Have just laid a 100mm concrete slab in the dinning room. How long do I need to leave it until I can start painting on the layers of liquid dpm? Thanks in advance guys.

The liquid dpm manufacturer will state this on the tin. All makes have different requirements depending mainly on whether it's a water based or spirit based liquid dpm.

    Read the tin.

Why did you not lay a dpm below the slab in the form of polythene sheeting?
Cement screed will need about one month to dry out and cure fully.

How are you keeping the thermal insulation dry if you haven't got a DPM in the floor?

Took out a chimney from top to bottom, so have had to make up the slab where the hearth was. No need for insulation, and as the old dpm was between slab and screed, I thought it better to use liquid dpm. Any problems with this?
